Genetic Screening Test for Cancer
HrC Genomics is the ultimate genetic screening test for cancer.
HrC represents a major breakthrough in cancer diagnostics made by a team of scientists at Epigeneres Biotech, India.
The technology they developed is based on the hypothesis that very small embryonic-like stem cells (VSELs), residing in multiple tissues, undergo epigenetic changes and get transformed into Cancer Stem Cells.
In cancer patients, Cancer Stem Cells from impacted organs in the body get mobilised into circulation in peripheral blood, in increasing numbers, and it is this increase in activity which can be detected and measured.
Stem cells are always present in peripheral blood; therefore, with HrC there is always something to detect i.e., there is always a result.
Cancer Stem Cells become mobilised at a very early stage of cancer development i.e., prior to symptoms and tumour development.

HrC can detect Cancer Stem Cells from point of initiation. This means that HrC can detect cancer earlier than any other known technology. If Cancer Stem Cells are not detected in peripheral blood, then cancer does not exist i.e., an individual is free from cancer.
Existing diagnostic technologies i.e., PET scan, CT scan, other liquid biopsy tests etc…, can only detect cancer once the tumour has formed.
This is what sets aside HrC technology from all other existing cancer detection technologies.

Screening for Cancer with HrC
- Detects cancer earlier than any other known cancer detection technology i.e., can detect risk of cancer presence at Stage 1 or before.
- Targets genetic biomarkers known to be key hallmarks of cancer initiation.
- Indicates risk of cancer being present for multiple cancer types including solid tumours, blood cancers & soft tissue sarcomas.
- Only test for cancer to give a positive reading for when cancer is NOT present.
- Designed to be used as an annual screening test to monitor ongoing risk of cancer with the aim of catching cancer at the earliest stage possible.
- Samples processed using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology.
- Written report detailing the HrC Score for the blood sample.
- Results within 6 weeks.
- Requires a 12ml sample of blood taken by a Professional Phlebotomist at one of our approved locations.
How To Order HrC Genomics
** Do not order this test if you are pregnant **
- Click on the ‘Order HrC’ button which will take you to a page where you can place your order.
- Select the number of people who require the service and add to your basket.
- Proceed to Checkout and make payment.
- Once the payment has been approved a ‘Thank You’ page will appear explaining how to proceed.
- Click on the link underneath the heading ‘For HrC Genomics & All Organ Biopsy Orders’. This will display a HrC Patient Information & Consent Form’ which each person taking the test must complete.
- Once the form has been completed and submitted, you will receive an email containing a link to a Booking Page where you can book your appointment with a Phlebotomist at one of 100+ locations across the UK.
HrC Score
HrC Score | Risk of Presence of Cancer | Suggestion |
0 to 2 | None, Cancer-Free | Take test annually and hopefully maintain Cancer-Free Status. Should Cancer be detected on the second test it would be detected at an early stage i.e., Stage 1 or before. |
2 to 6 | Negligible | An HrC Score of 2 to 6 indicates possibility of one or more factors which could have triggered a stem cell response, which is ordinarily reversible. This could be indicative of inflammation, trauma, injury or stress but may also be cancer. Taking the test again within six months will confirm if cancer is the cause of illness or not. If cancer is the cause of illness, the HrC Score have moved beyond the score of 6. |
6 to 8 | Low | An HrC Score of 6 to 8 indicates that underlying genetic mutations have occurred which are known to initiate cancer. This is indicative that tumour cells may be present in the organ, but tumour formation has not yet started. Taking the test again in 6 months’ time will see The HrC Score increase beyond the score of 10, meaning that a tumour (Stage 1) is now present. |
8 to 10 |
Moderate | An HrC Score of 8 to 10 is likely to indicate Stage 0, or cancer-in-situ i.e., cancer tumour cells may be present within the organ, but tumour formation has not yet started. Taking the test again in 3 months’ time is recommended to check for HrC Score crossing 10, which is indicative of tumour formation. The benefit of doing this is that the cancer would be detected at Stage 1, when the disease is at its weakest and is potentially curable. |
10 and above | High Risk | An HrC Score of 10+ is indicative of tumour presence. Tumour formation occurs between 10 to 12, which can be radiologically confirmed. |
